each Album The Tracks … “VAMPYRA” Crazy paced guitar track about the seductive allures of
a Vampire Chick, with a classic Roy Stone insanely paced guitar solo in the middle, on a dark
change of key & a manic, sinister, augmented & minor vocal. “TONGUE IN CHEEK” One of those riffs that just chugs & grinds, with an
impact strum section splitting the track in two, one of
those things that sounds easy as it is on one tone but is hard to co-ordinate, another big lead guitar
track, starting as a seventh & coming back to major, the track is about the irritation &
consequence of people who talk in lies mostly. “WARRIOR” Sad & moving Metal Ballad, with a delicate introduction
& subtle verses leading in to a massive chorus & haunting guitar
section, this track is about the demise of a medieval warrior & hero & the remorse of those
who were friends & comrades. “TITANS WRATH” This is the speech of a general in ancient amassed armies waiting to attack
below, realizing that no matter what, eventually defeat will come & Titan will rule. pumping Rock with charachterised singing & atmospheric war like
music. “MY DESIRE IN CHAINS” Pop Metal, party Rock, totally fun track, bouncy rhythm & a
crescendo into the
chorus, an exiting lead guitar in the middle plus a bright key change to C
for the last chorus. This is about the exuberance of
heading out to Rock nights knowing that its time to unchain all grip on reality & Rock till ya drop. “FAT BOB” Not about large guys called Robert,
this is about Harley’s… the great American dream motorcycle & hitting the road with
no place in particular in mind. Alternating between bottom E, a strum & seventh chords with
some pauses & solo lead-ins makes this quirky track both simplistic
& technical to play work that one out ! “WALK AWAY” A bluesy Rock track that has a bass line similar to the
“Mission Impossible” theme, not by accident, the point being
that when relations between people become dysfunctional, perhaps walking away is the only answer
& the anguished vocals convey that sentiment as does the wailing central guitar piece. “THE BEAST RISING” This is sarcasm about the mighty dark lord Bealsebub,
the followers & the power of darkness, the brash
sinister melody of this & strangled, angry lead guitar run into the pounding breathless pace of Pt 2 in
the live set… one day they should be recorded as one track ! “SATAN THE BEAST Pt 2” Follow on from “THE BEAST RISING” on the subject of fear &
sacrifice, or the
feeling of being lead into areas beyond the control of an individual, as
all cult/gang situations rather worryingly eventually lead
towards, great lead guitar in a minor key with a minor backing sequence too, enhancing the sense of
morose evil on a biblical scale. “PASSION” Speed metal track with a biting melodic chorus, about sexual
domination from the point of view
of the “heavy breather”, a strange but “in-context” vocal for a very
strange track, the main body of the track runs at an
alarming pace as does the lightning quick guitar solo, punctuated by
thumping chorus’s & some strangely
perverse sounding little build up sections.
