Album The Tracks … “CHILL OF THE NIGHT”
powerful Metal track that thunders in with a deep
power chord sequence & double time drum pace, moving to a
higher harmony & a crazily fast lead guitar on the mid section, about the excitement &
possibly the fear of being on city streets at night & gang culture. “BLACK HOLE EYE” a live favorite &
a great vocal track with a biting riff & melodic chorus, which questions what might be going on with
those guys who stand glaring meanly in the shadows, in clubs & bars. “ARRIVA DERCHI” a very musical Pop
Rock track, chord harmonic intro & rhythmic verses & a huge guitar dive as a feature in
the chorus. This is about all the people that you see every week, if you use Clubs, Bars & Venues but if you analyse it you don’t
know them at all, its just a “hello” & a “goodbye” “LADY IN BLACK” quick paced with higher chords & dual guitar runs synchronised with the drums, lead in all the chord changes,
this has the the most technical little lead
guitar section & the rhythm guitar is double time too, fast
track reflecting on the atmosphere of confusing times dysfunctional relationships. “METAL RULES” musically the
intro & other musicial sections are quite
technical on this & run at a fast pace for the content,
lyrically this track is a sarcastic comment & the Metal Madness track
of the Album, aimed at the sort of Rock Fan who has drunk at least
fifteen pints of lager, the ones who can’t speak but wobble around in front
of the speakers towards the end of the night at Gigs & Night Clubs. “HUNGRY FOR YOUR LOVE” more of an orchestral
feel to this with decending key change sequences & harmonized guitars with this, one of the oldest ROY STONE
Tracks written whilst in the “FREE SPIRIT” Band & the chorus lyric came from a girl who
used come to rehearsals, the verses are pure start, although the quiet intro is
a newer addition. “NIGHT TRAIN” very heavy track totally Metal, with pounding rhythm & wild
guitar, about a roller coaster ride to hell in Satan’s
Express, on broken tracks, accompanied by gooks & demons, to speed the doomed passengers to their
final destination with the Dark Lord himself ! “ROCK CRUSADER” this is sarcasm about over inflated Rock & the impact that
some may think it has, humour on a deliberately basic down
strum verse & inane chorus, a nice harmonic guitar on the intro a lead guitar that starts on a
5th harmony & comes through a complicated change sequence
back to major makes it a listenable track
too. “HER DEADLY SIN” a colossally evil intro runs into punchy verse & then
becomes the chorus on this dark track about a manipulative
psycho chick luring victims to their deaths with her female charms, the lead guitar goes at
particularly psycho pace too. “THE REAPER” note the kick drum rhythm on the chorus & mid section,
totally makes the song, the main riff is syncopated against
an A chord, for anyone musically minded. An interesting drop out & pick up before verse three kicks
off the track nicely into a second intro, this is about murder in the dark & anonymous stalkers
closing in for the kill & how for the sad victim the end is
inevitable.
